The History of Maitlands
Maitlands was established almost 20 years ago in 1994 by now Managing Director, Andy Blacklock. Growing increasingly disillusioned with the poor level of service offered by larger, corporate agents, Andy made the decision to open the first Maitlands branch in Saltash, South East Cornwall. Despite starting in the middle of a property recession, Maitlands soon became recognised as market leaders in the geographic area that they operated in, acting for many of the UK’s top developers.

As the Maitlands reputation continued to grow, further offices opened across the local area with branches in Ivybridge, Plympton, and most recently the Plymouth branch on Millbay Road. We now have specialist residential sales, lettings and commercial property teams to help with all aspects of moving. We are also proud Fine and Country agents and are part of the Relocation Agent Network to help people relocate throughout the country.
